Dr Shah Md.Safiul Hoque
Biography
Dr Shah Md Safiul Hoque is an Assistant Professor and MIS Program Coordinator at Sohar University in the Sultanate of Oman. He received MSc. in Business Information Systems from the University of East London, UK, and a Ph.D. from the Jahanginrnagar University in Bangladesh, where he explored E-Government service delivery to the rural community. Dr Shah has more than twenty years of work experience in teaching at HEIs in Bangladesh and Oman. Before relocating to Oman, he was an Associate Professor serving in Bangladesh. He has substantial experience in course delivery, developing teaching materials, academic administration, and research. Apart from teaching, he was involved with curriculum development, and administrative roles as Program Leader/Coordinator, Head of Department, Acting Dean, and Member of Committees. Dr Shah has a good number of research articles published, many of which are in international scientific research-ranked journals indexed by Scopus, WoS(ESCI/SSCI), ABDC, and ABS. His current research areas include e-government service delivery, community informatics and digital divide, ICT for development, e-learning, and digital business/entrepreneurship. He has won a matching research grant in collaboration with Sohar University and the Universiti Malaysia Terengganu.
