Dr Shah Md.Safiul Hoque
Biography
Dr. Shah Md. Safiul Hoque is an Associate Professor of MIS at the Faculty of Business, Sohar University. He previously served as the MIS Program Coordinator within the same faculty for 3 years. He has proven skill and contributed to curriculum development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, student-centered learning initiatives, and reviewing academic quality assurance. With over 25 years of international experience in higher education, Dr. Hoque has held key academic leadership roles, including Head of Department and Acting Dean at universities.
His research focuses on e-government service delivery, ICT for development, digital entrepreneurship, digital literacy and skills, e-learning, and technology adoption. He has published widely in reputable journals and is actively involved in collaborative research. He has secured research grants, including funding from the Research Council of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation (MoHERI), Oman, to explore the digital proficiency and upskilling requirements of Omani female micro-entrepreneurs.
