Dr Nor Hapiza Binti Mohd Ariffin
Biography
Assistant Professor Ts Dr. Nor Hapiza Mohd Ariffin is a distinguished Malaysian academic currently serving at the Faculty of Business, Sohar University, Oman. She holds a Ph.D. in System Science and Management, an MSc in Information Technology, and a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, all from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), a prestigious institution ranked among the Top 200 universities globally.
With more than 28 years of experience in academia and research, Dr. Nor Hapiza’s expertise spans Customer Relationship Management (CRM), e-learning and digital pedagogy, strategic information systems, and emerging technologies such as blockchain, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. She has taught extensively at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has held academic appointments at UiTM Malaysia, Taif University (Saudi Arabia), and Dhofar University (Oman) prior to joining Sohar University.
An accomplished researcher, Dr. Nor Hapiza has produced over 90 publications, including Scopus-indexed journal articles, conference proceedings, and book chapters. Her research interests include technology adoption models, digital transformation in higher education, enterprise information systems, and ICT-driven innovation in business and education. She has been involved in 14 funded research projects, serving as Principal Investigator (PI) for 9 of them in Malaysia and Oman. Her recent projects align with Oman Vision 2040, focusing on sustainable digital business, AI applications in healthcare, and TVET education reform.
Dr. Nor Hapiza is also a certified trainer in e-learning, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, and blockchain technology, and actively contributes as a consultant, academic editor, reviewer, and invited speaker in international academic platforms. Her leadership roles include Head of Department, Academic Coordinator, and Director of Academic Management, through which she has led initiatives in curriculum design, quality assurance, and academic strategy. She remains strongly committed to teaching innovation, cross-cultural research collaboration, and advancing the integration of emerging technologies in education and business sectors.
