Dr Rayees Farooq
Biography
Dr Rayees Farooq is an Assistant Professor of Business at Sohar University in Oman. He holds a doctorate in Knowledge Management from Lovely Professional University, India. Before joining Sohar University, he was a postdoctoral fellow in Knowledge Management at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, India. With over six years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Farooq has established himself as a seasoned academic. He is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Managerial Psychology (ABS3: ABDC-B: Q1), the International Journal of Innovation Science (ABS1; IF: 2.9; Q1) and PLOS One (SCIE; IF: 3.7; Q1). Additionally, he holds positions on the editorial boards of several esteemed international journals, including Business Process Management Journal, The Learning Organization, and International Journal of Knowledge-Based Organizations (IJKBO). Dr Farooq’s research interests span a diverse range of topics in knowledge management, performance management, counterproductive work behaviors, bibliometric analysis, and scale development. His recent scholarly contributions have been featured in reputable international journals such as the Journal of Knowledge Management, Management Decision, Business Process Management Journal, Measuring Business Excellence, VINE Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems, Ethics & Behaviour, Management Research Review, International Journal of Knowledge Management, Global Knowledge Memory and Communication, and International Journal of Innovation Science. Furthermore, Dr Farooq’s research findings have been incorporated into Sweden’s 2022 policy report on occupational safety and health, work-life balance, and productivity, both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting the global impact of his work. He is honoured to have been listed among Stanford University’s top 2% of scientists, underscoring his contributions to research in his field.
