As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance its international presence and expand its network of academic partnerships, a delegation from the Arabic Language Center at Sohar University visited a number of academic institutions in Beijing, China. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for mutual cooperation and strengthen cultural and academic exchange between the two countries.

The visit included several leading educational institutions, including Beijing Language and Culture University and Peking University, where both sides discussed prospects for collaboration in the field of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, contributing to the enhancement of cultural and academic communication between the Sultanate of Oman and China.

As part of the visit, the delegation also met with representatives of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Beijing, where they were briefed on the Embassy’s efforts to strengthen Omani-Chinese relations across various sectors and promote cooperation opportunities between educational institutions in both countries.

The delegation further visited Xi’an International Studies University in Xi’an Province to discuss avenues for future cooperation and the renewal of the academic partnership between the two institutions.

The visits included discussions and exchanges of academic and cultural expertise aimed at strengthening educational ties between the participating institutions. Both parties emphasized the importance of continuing collaboration in ways that benefit students and support the advancement of academic and knowledge exchange.

This visit forms part of Sohar University’s strategy to broaden its international cooperation and reinforce its position as an academic institution that is open to global experiences. It contributes to enriching the educational and research environment and promoting cultural, student, and knowledge exchange, in line with the University’s aspirations for academic excellence and leadership.
