As part of its commitment to supporting scientific research and advancing postgraduate education, Sohar University, represented by the Postgraduate Center in collaboration with the Faculty of Education and Arts, organized the defense of two doctoral dissertations under its PhD in Education program. The sessions were attended by a distinguished group of academics and researchers.
Ms. Ruqaiah Al Balushi defended her dissertation titled: “A Proposed Entrepreneurship Model Based on Discipline-Based Art Education (DBAE) Approaches in the Visual Arts Curriculum in Light of Oman Vision 2040 and the Perceptions of Supervisors and Teachers.” The dissertation was submitted within the Curriculum and Instruction specialization.
Ms. Muna Al Aliyan also defended her dissertation titled: “The Impact of Organizational Learning on Achieving Institutional Excellence in Basic Education Schools in the Sultanate of Oman in Light of Oman Vision 2040: A Proposed Model.” The dissertation was presented within the Educational Administration specialization.
These two doctoral dissertations reflect Sohar University’s commitment to supporting scientific research that contributes to the development of the education system and promotes innovation and institutional excellence in alignment with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. They also reaffirm the University’s dedication to providing a robust research environment that prepares scholars capable of delivering evidence-based solutions that serve society and contribute to sustainable development.
