Sohar University organized the Academic Integrity Day (SU Academic Integrity Day) on Tuesday, 20 January 2026, under the patronage of the University Vice Chancellor, Dr. Hamdan Al Fazari, with wide participation from both academics and students on campus.
The event aimed to promote a culture of academic integrity and reinforce the values of honesty, responsibility, and transparency within the university community, contributing to the enhancement of educational quality and the development of learning outcomes grounded in academic ethics.
The program featured a variety of activities, beginning with registration, followed by an opening address, voting for the best awareness videos (Reels) on academic integrity previously launched as a student competition, awareness presentations, and a panel discussion addressing key concepts and practices of academic integrity. The event concluded with a closing ceremony and the honoring of winners and participants.
Through this event, Sohar University reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to raising awareness of academic integrity and fostering positive behavior among students and academic and administrative staff, in line with its mission to prepare a responsible and aware generation that contributes to serving society and building the future.
