Sohar University Honors Winners of the Best H.O.P.E Card Award

As part of its commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and reinforcing health and safety practices in the workplace, the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Section at Sohar University launched the Best H.O.P.E (Hazard Observation and Performance Evaluation) Card Competition at the beginning of the academic year. The initiative targets both staff and students and aims to raise institutional awareness of the importance of complying with health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures across the University campus.

Mr. Ali Al Farsi from the Finance Department and student Shahad Al Barhoumi were honored with the Best H.O.P.E Card Award for the first quarter of the Academic Year 2025/2026, in recognition of their positive engagement and strong commitment to supporting a culture of safety.

This recognition reflects Sohar University’s dedication to valuing and motivating its human resources and encouraging responsible professional behavior that contributes to creating a safe, healthy, and positive work environment. Such efforts directly support the quality and sustainability of institutional performance.

The achievement also demonstrates high levels of initiative, responsibility, and positive engagement, playing an effective role in strengthening occupational health and safety culture and reinforcing principles of cooperation and belonging within the University workplace.

The University emphasized that this competition is one of the motivational initiatives implemented by the HSE Section and reflects Sohar University’s commitment to adopting best institutional practices in occupational safety, supporting individual and collective excellence, and aligning with its strategic vision to build a motivating and sustainable work environment.
