As part of Sohar University’s commitment to fostering a culture of academic excellence and motivating students to achieve high levels of performance, Dr. Hamdan Al Fazari, Vice Chancellor of the University, honored students who received the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence for the Academic Year 2024/2025. A total of 78 male and female students from the University’s six faculty were recognized.
The recognition reflects the students’ outstanding academic achievements, demonstrating their dedication, commitment to learning, and excellence throughout their academic journey. During the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor emphasized that such accomplishments are the result of perseverance and hard work, and a clear indication of students’ awareness of the importance of education in shaping their futures and serving their nation.
He noted that Sohar University continues to support high-achieving students through motivational initiatives and advanced academic programs that help prepare competitive, innovative national talent, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 to enhance higher education outcomes.
This recognition comes within the University’s broader strategy to promote an inspiring learning environment that encourages creativity and excellence, and to graduate a knowledgeable and well-qualified generation capable of contributing effectively to sustainable development.
