Sohar University Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Harvard Business School GCC Club to Enhance Leadership and Innovation

Sohar University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Harvard Business School (HBS) GCC Club to establish a collaborative framework that strengthens leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Oman and the region. The signing took place during the CEO Summit held in Muscat under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Salem bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals.

The MoU was signed on behalf of Sohar University by Dr. Hamdan Al Fazari, Vice Chancellor, and on behalf of the Harvard Business School GCC Club by Saleh Abdullah Lootah, President of the Club.

The agreement aims to expand avenues of collaboration through knowledge and expertise exchange, the development of leadership and professional programs, and the support of entrepreneurial and innovative initiatives. It also seeks to encourage joint research projects that align with economic and social development priorities across the Gulf region. Furthermore, the MoU includes launching mentorship programs and activities that connect Sohar University students with Harvard Business School alumni, as well as creating opportunities for participation in specialized events that prepare a new generation for the knowledge-based economy and empower them to develop solutions that serve the future of Oman and the region.

This partnership demonstrates Sohar University’s dedication to advancing leadership education, strengthening its international presence, and solidifying its role in supporting innovation, entrepreneurship, and community service at both national and regional levels.
