Sohar University participated as part of an international team in the Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) on 29th August 2025. The project was awarded the Silver Medal, reflecting the strong collaboration between Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Sohar University, and the American University of Iraq – Sulaimani.
The team was led by Adjunct Professor Firas Al-Nuaimi and Professor Hussein Kazem. Out of 28 projects, only 11 were selected for awards: 5 received Gold, 5 received Silver, and 1 received Bronze.
