In a move to enhance communication and facilitate the exchange of experiences between leaders and staff, the “Coffee with a Leader” event hosted Dr. Hamdan bin Sulaiman Al-Fazari, Vice Chancellor of Sohar University. This gathering was part of the “Educational Coffee” series, which aims to enrich dialogue, break down barriers, and build bridges of communication. The event saw a notable academic turnout, and the friendly, informal atmosphere provided a unique opportunity for attendees to interact directly with the University VC.
During the meeting, several important topics were discussed, most notably a direct introduction to Dr. Hamdan Al-Fazari’s personality, the type of leadership and academic skills possessed by an educational leader, and the essential skills a university VC needs to make appropriate decisions in emergency situations. The University VC also discussed Sohar University’s future aspirations and its goal to elevate the standard of higher education. Attendees actively participated by asking questions and offering insights, which enriched the discussion and opened new avenues for creative ideas.
