23rd World Renewable Energy Congress

Professor Hussain Kazem from the Faculty of Engineering at Sohar University participated in the 23rd World Renewable Energy Congress, held under the theme “Addressing Climate Challenges, Adopting Renewable Energy, Achieving Carbon Neutrality,” The event took place in the Kingdom of Bahrain, organized by Kingdom University in collaboration with the World Renewable Energy Network, Bahrain’s Ministry of Oil and Environment, and supported by Bapco Energy and Tamkeen.

The conference brought together academic institutions, experts, and professionals from local, regional, and international levels to promote a fair energy transition, share knowledge and expertise, and explore opportunities for collaboration and future partnerships.

Professor Hussain Kazem contributed as a member of the conference’s technical committee, a keynote speaker, a session chair for two sessions, and a workshop presenter. His contributions focused on advanced photovoltaic technologies, hybrid PV/T systems, green hydrogen, and the reliability of large-scale solar photovoltaic systems in desert regions, with a particular focus on the impact of dust and mitigation strategies.
