Dr Yaqoob Mubarak Mohammed Al Rahbi
Biography
Dr. Yaqoob Mubarak Mohammed Al Rahbi is a distinguished Assistant Professor at Sohar University, Oman, with a career spanning over two decades in academia and education. A highly accomplished scholar, Dr. Yaqoob earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2020, building upon his foundational studies with an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and a B.Sc. in Mathematics Education from Sultan Qaboos University.
Renowned for his expertise in reliability and availability analysis, Dr. Yaqoob has made substantial contributions to scientific research, authoring over 10 impactful publications indexed in prestigious databases like SCOPUS and Web of Science. His pioneering work includes reliability modeling in industrial systems, mathematical analysis of viral infection models, and innovations in mathematical modeling and simulations.
As a testament to his leadership in the academic community, Dr. Yaqoob has chaired and spoken at numerous international conferences, including the Euro-Mediterranean Conference for Environmental Integration and the IEEE International Conference on Advances in Electrical Engineering and Computer Applications. Additionally, he actively reviews manuscripts for high-ranking journals such as the International Journal of Systems Assurance Engineering and Management and contributes to research initiatives across Oman, including TRC-funded projects.
