Biography

Hajer Harrathi is an Associate Professor of Arabic Literature and Cultural Studies at the Faculty of Arts and Education in Sohar University, Oman. She joined Sohar University after a long teaching career at several Tunisian universities. She has been teaching different subjects in Arabic Language and Literature. She is noted for her vast research on Arab women’s literature and history, literary saloons for Arab women, women’s poetry in Andalusia, and the wisdom and power of Arab women. She has written many journal articles, conference proceedings, book chapters, and books about several topics related to her research, and taken an active part in many national, regional, and international conferences.
