Biography
Dr. Sheikha Ali Salim Al Buraiki is an educator with extensive experience in English language teaching. She holds a PhD in Education, Curriculum, and Instruction from the United Arab Emirates University. She has also earned a Master’s degree in English Teaching Methods from Sultan Qaboos University in 2015 and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching from the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University in 2002. Dr. Al Buraiki began her teaching career in 2002, focusing on English as a foreign language. By the academic year 2005/2006, she advanced to the role of Senior Teacher, demonstrating leadership in instructional practices. In spring 2023, she supervised student teachers from SQU during their teaching practicum. She joined Sohar University as a part-time lecturer for two semesters (2023-2024), teaching microteaching courses. In September 2024, she was appointed as a full-time Assistant Professor at Sohar University.
