Biography
Foued Belghouthi is an Assistant Professor at Sohar university, Faculty of Education and Arts, with a Phd in musicology. He is also, a member of the Research Laboratory in Culture, New Technologies and Development (CUNTIC) at the ISMT, University of Tunis. Throughout his academic and scientific research, Belghouthi has developed a keen interest in various forms of musical crossbreeding, particularly in relation to new forms of Arabo-Oriental expression influenced by jazz. His research focuses on jazz-influenced contemporary and improvised music, aiming to establish new theoretical, epistemological, and analytical foundations for the fundamental concept of cultural diversity. Belghouthi’s work contributes to understanding and exploring the merging of musical styles and the potential for innovative artistic expressions.
