Biography

Eihab B. M. Bashier is an Assistant professor in the mathematics program at the Faculty of Education and Arts. He earned his Ph.D. in 2009 from the University of the Western Cape in South Africa. His prior experience was as an Associate professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences and Information Technology at the University of Khartoum. His research interests are mainly in numerical methods for differential equations with applications to biology and in information and computer security with a focus on cryptography. In 2011, Dr Bashier won the African Union and Third World Academy of Science (AU-TWAS) Young Scientists National Award in Basic Sciences, Technology, and Innovation. In addition, he serves as a reviewer for a number of international publications and is a member of both the IEEE and the American Mathematical Society (AMS).
