Biography

Dr Ali Abu Attia Heikal is an Assistant Professor of Civil and Commercial Procedures Law at Sohar University. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2004 from the Faculty of Law at Alexandria University in Egypt and specialized in Civil and Commercial Procedures Law. From 2004 to 2015, he was a teacher at the Department of Procedure Law in Alexandria and Beirut Arab Law, Alexandria Branch. Since 2016, he has been an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, Sohar University. He has a wealth of publications on Omani law and many specialized types of research in procedural law, which have been published in reputable journals. He has also participated in the discussion of many master’s theses in Omani universities, as well as in mock trials at the national level and within the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
