Sohar University won first place in the Omani Moot Court Competition

Students from Sohar University’s Faculty of Law took first place in the fourth edition of the Omani Moot Court Competition, which was conducted by the College of Law at Sultan Qaboos University. The concluding argument, conducted on Sultan Qaboos University on November 29, 2023, resulted in the Faculty of Law at Sohar University winning over the College of Law at Sultan Qaboos University.

Issa bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Azri, Secretary General of the Supreme Judicial Council, presided over the closing ceremony, which was also attended by His Highness Fahad Bin Al Julanda Al Said, Vice-Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University.

Sultan Qaboos University, Sohar University, A’Sharqiyah University, University of Buraimi, Arab Open University and Dhofar University participated in the competition.

The Faculity of Law was represented in the competition by a team made up of six female students: Maather Al Kharusi, Hajar Al-Hajri, Sharifa Al Harrasi, Tasnim Al-Battashi, and Quds Al Fulaiti, under the supervision of Professor Mounir Snoussi, Dr. Ali Heikal, and Dr. Mohammed Temsah. Student Hanin Al Balushi from the Faculty of Law at Sohar University won the Best Pleader Award in the final round.
