Dr Izzeldin Ibrahim Mohamed Abdelaziz
Biography
Dr. Izzeldin Ibrahim Mohamed is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Sohar University. Prior to this appointment, he served as a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang. He obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Electronic and Computer Engineering) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2006. Dr. Mohamed’s research expertise lies in computer networks and engineering, with a particular focus on secure communication, secure localization, and software security, especially in the area of vulnerability analysis. His current research interests also include the investigation of soft errors in deep learning system models implemented on graphic processing units (GPUs). Dr. Mohamed has taught and supervised many undergraduate and postgraduate students and has secured numerous research grants related to Computer Engineering. His research contributions have resulted in the publication of numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at various national and international conferences in the fields of Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering. In addition to his research activities, Dr. Mohamed served as an Editor for the ICACT Transactions on Advanced Communications Technology journal from 2013 to 2020 and continues to act as a regular reviewer for several reputable journals and international conferences.
