Dr Hisham Khaled Ben Mahmud
Biography
Dr Hisham Ben Mahmud is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Sohar University, Oman. Prior to this appointment, he served with the Department of Petroleum Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), and with the Department of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Science, Curtin University Malaysia. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accredited by Engineers Australia, reflecting his strong commitment to professional practice and engineering standards. Moreover, he is a graduate member with Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM), a Member of Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and a Fellowship of Advance Higher Education (FHEA). Dr Hisham has supervised and graduated many higher research degree students which resulted in publishing over 60 scientific papers as main/co-author in international and prestigious journals and conferences. He served as a regular technical reviewer for several top international journals and research grant. His research capability in the reservoir and production engineering field is portrayed through the cumulative research grant values of around RM 1,000,000 secured from various national and international.
