Community Engagement and Partnerships at Sohar University represent a cornerstone in strengthening communication and collaboration between the university and the community. Roles and Responsibilities

• Forge strategic partnerships with public and private sector institutions, as well as educational and social entities locally and internationally, to support national development goals.
• Coordinate and implement community initiatives that enhance the involvement of students and academic staff in addressing social challenges and contributing effectively to community development.
• Foster lifelong learning through flexible, inclusive and community-oriented educational pathways.
• Support volunteerism and provide quality opportunities for students to engage in projects that serve community issues and foster values of responsibility and leadership.
• Promote knowledge transfer by collaborating with various sectors in research, consultancy, and training projects that deliver tangible impact.
• Represent the university externally in forums and events related to civil society and partnerships, reflecting the university’s commitment to the community.
