Sohar University Strengthens Its Local and International Presence through Active Participation in Education Exhibitions – February 2026

As part of its strategy to strengthen academic visibility locally and internationally, Sohar University participated during February 2026 in several specialized education exhibitions in Oman and abroad, engaging school students and individuals interested in higher education while introducing its academic programs and key initiatives.

The University took part in the Higher Education Exhibition for School Students in Musandam Governorate, held from 10–11 February 2026, where the University team showcased its academic disciplines, study opportunities, student services, and the supportive campus environment that fosters excellence and innovation.

Sohar University also maintained a strong presence at the Vocational Education and Training Exhibition (VETX), held in Liwa from 9–11 February 2026. During the event, the University presented a comprehensive overview of its academic and professional programs, emphasizing its commitment to aligning education outcomes with labour market needs and promoting applied and vocational learning pathways.

In Al Sharqiyah Governorate, the University participated in the Higher Education Institutions Orientation Forum held from 15–16 February 2026. The University’s booth attracted significant interest from school students and parents, where academic guidance was provided and enquiries related to programmes, admission requirements, and academic development opportunities were addressed.

Internationally, Sohar University participated in the Gulf Education Exhibition “Riyadh 2026”, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 9–10 February 2026. The participation reflects the University’s efforts to expand its regional reach, attract international students, build new academic partnerships, and strengthen its position as a leading higher education institution in the region.

These participations form part of Sohar University’s ongoing efforts to engage directly with prospective students and the wider higher education community, while showcasing its vision, mission, and diverse academic programmes, supporting its journey toward academic excellence and its role in preparing qualified graduates who contribute effectively to national development.
