Three teams from the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology secured an impressive 13th place out of 65 participating teams in the Oman Collegiate Programming Contest

Oman Collegiate Programming Contest

Nine students hailing from the Faculty of Computeing and Information Technology took part in this competition, which took place at Sultan Qaboos University from October 31 to November 1, 2023. Notably, these teams clinched the fifth position among Omani universities. Furthermore, they demonstrated their mettle on a Gulf level, attaining the 13th position out of the 65 teams participating in this challenging university programming competition. This annual programming competition serves as a platform to evaluate and test students’ knowledge and proficiency in programming. Universities and colleges from across the Gulf Cooperation Council actively participate in this prestigious event, fostering healthy competition and the exchange of programming skills and expertise.
