Sohar University received His Excellency Mohammed Ali Boughazi, Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, as part of an official visit aimed at exploring avenues of academic and scientific cooperation between Sohar University and Algerian universities.
During the visit, ways to strengthen bilateral relations in higher education, scientific research, and innovation were reviewed. Opportunities for academic exchange visits between students and faculty members were also discussed. The importance of establishing ties between Sohar University and several Algerian universities was also emphasised, as this will contribute to opening new horizons for joint cooperation and supporting international partnerships that serve the progress of education and scientific research.
This visit reflects Sohar University’s keenness to expand its network of international relations and exchange academic experiences, in line with its strategic objectives and Oman Vision 2040, which aims to enhance the position of higher education as a fundamental pillar of sustainable development.
