Students from Sohar University achieved first place in the Project Poster Competition at the IEEE Young Professionals and Students Conference – Oman 2025. This event is one of the most prominent student and engineering gatherings in the Sultanate, seeing wide participation from higher education institutions.
Sohar University was represented by its IEEE Student group, part of the Student Affairs Department. The students presented distinguished research and innovative projects in the fields of engineering and technology, which were highly praised by the judging panel and deservedly secured the top position.
The University affirmed that this victory reflects the academic and creative excellence of its students. It also embodies the university’s continuous commitment to empowering youth and encouraging their participation in scientific conferences and specialised competitions that contribute to honing their skills and enhancing their competitiveness in the job market.
