On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, Sohar University signed a cooperation agreement with Otaxi, a leading company in the taxi sector. The partnership focuses on launching an initiative aimed at enhancing transportation services for female students within the university community.
The agreement seeks to provide safer and more efficient transportation for female students by establishing a dedicated Otaxi station for women in front of the university campus. Female drivers will be appointed to serve this station. Additionally, the service will feature real-time trip tracking, providing both students’ families and the university with information about the drivers and vehicles to ensure a safe commuting environment for the students.
Furthermore, Sohar University will closely monitor students’ transportation needs and provide the necessary support to meet their requirements.
This partnership represents an important step toward creating a more efficient transportation system for female students at Sohar University, while also supporting the growth of Otaxi’s services.
