SU Shines at the 2025 AACSB Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Conference

Prof. Hamza Edrees, Sohar University (SU) Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs (DVCAA), and Prof. Nur, Mansor Dean of the Faculty of Business,  represented the University  at the  2025 AACSB Middle East and North Africa Conference held on January 15–16, 2025, at the St-Regis Downtown Dubai Hotel, UAE. Organized by AACSB, the conference featured business school leaders and key stakeholders in business education across the MENA region, addressing transformative approaches to advancing business education and fostering regional and global collaborations. In collaboration, SU advanced ties with Times Higher Education(THE) Rankings for business and management sectors.

The event highlighted themes such as digital transformation, sustainable business practices, and innovations in higher education. It included panel discussions, keynote sessions, and networking opportunities with leading professionals, researchers, and academics from across the MENA region and beyond.

Prof. Hamza and Prof. Nur actively participated as institutional representatives, contributing to discussions on aligning academic strategies with global standards. They also attended the Assurance of Learning II 2 days seminar, an advanced approach to accelerate the attainment of program competencies for SU business education curriculums. 

Their engagement underscored SU’s dedication to driving impactful partnerships, enhancing educational excellence, and addressing pressing challenges in the business education landscape.

This participation demonstrates SU’s commitment to regional and global leadership in education and research, as the university continues to make significant strides in innovation and academic excellence.
