As part of its ongoing efforts to promote creativity and innovation among students, Sohar University is organizing four major student competitions aimed at encouraging students to develop innovative solutions for global challenges in sustainability, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to supporting scientific research, fostering creative thinking, and equipping students with technical and practical skills that enhance their competitiveness in the job market.
The first competition focuses on plastic recycling, where participants are challenged to design innovative solutions to reduce plastic waste and improve recycling processes. This challenge supports global efforts to combat environmental pollution and promotes sustainability through practical and applicable ideas.
The second competition addresses digital transformation and innovation in retail, inviting students to present creative digital solutions that can reshape the shopping experience and enhance operational efficiency in the retail sector. This competition provides participants with an opportunity to be at the forefront of digital innovation in retail, with ideas evaluated based on their feasibility and impact on the industry.
The third competition revolves around the development of intelligent systems, where students are required to design and develop smart systems that can be applied in various industries, such as healthcare and manufacturing. Given the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and automation, this competition offers students the chance to work on real-world projects with significant impact.
The fourth competition is dedicated to artificial intelligence in language and education, challenging participants to develop AI-driven solutions for teaching, learning, and documentation. This competition presents an opportunity for students to contribute to the future of education by innovating tools and technologies that enhance personalized learning experiences.
Sohar University offers participating students the chance to win cash prizes along with recognition for their outstanding ideas. These competitions also provide hands-on learning experiences and real-world exposure in the fields of innovation and technology.
