Sohar University has announced a new academic program titled “Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers” in the Faculty of Education & Arts , aimed at helping learners from various nationalities understand and use the Arabic language in their daily, academic, and professional lives.
The program focuses on developing the core language skills. Students will learn how to read and write, while also improving their listening and speaking abilities. The course content is presented in a simplified and practical manner, allowing students to progress through the language in a clear and easy way.
In addition to language instruction, the program also introduces students to elements of Arab and Omani culture, which enhances understanding and communication with the local community, giving learners a cultural perspective alongside linguistic competence.
This program is suitable for international students, professionals from various sectors, and residents in the Sultanate of Oman who wish to learn Arabic for work, study, or social communication. It is delivered by a group of specialized instructors using modern teaching tools and in a supportive learning environment.
