As part of its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and fostering a stimulating learning environment, Sohar University celebrated the promotion of a group of its academic staff to higher academic ranks in recognition of their outstanding contributions in teaching and scientific research.
The new promotions covered faculty members. Fourteen academic staff members were promoted to the rank of Associate Professor, while one staff member was promoted to Assistant Professor, and another was promoted to the rank of Lecturer. These promotions were granted after the candidates met all the required criteria according to the university’s approved academic standards.
This achievement aligns with the university’s strategic goal of empowering and motivating its human capital to excel further, in accordance with Oman Vision 2040, which aims to advance the higher education system and improve its outcomes to meet the aspirations of the Sultanate’s comprehensive development.
