Sohar University Celebrates Ankara University Students of Arabic: Strengthening Bridges of Academic and Cultural Exchange

Sohar University Celebrates Ankara University Students of Arabic

As part of its mission to establish itself as a beacon of cultural communication and to enhance international academic cooperation, Sohar University organised a special ceremony for students from Ankara University who are studying Arabic through its “Arabic Language Centre for Non-Native Speakers” program.

The ceremony was attended by Dr Hamdan Al Fazari, the university’s VC, along with a number of academics and students. This broad participation reflected the university’s growing status as a leading educational destination that attracts students from various cultures and linguistic backgrounds.

The program included diverse and meaningful segments, beginning with welcoming speeches, followed by outstanding literary and artistic performances by the visiting students. This was followed by cultural presentations that reflected their passion for the Arabic language and their eagerness to engage with its civilisational components. The variety of segments gave the event an exceptional character, embodying the integration of education and cultural activities.

This ceremony is part of a series of activities and program organised by Sohar University’s Arabic Language Centre for Non-Native Speakers. Its aim is to enrich the educational experience of international students and to open up new horizons for cultural and intellectual exchange. This aligns with the university’s direction to support Oman Vision 2040 and to strengthen its position as a bridge for academic and cultural communication at both the Arab and international levels.
