Sohar University has attained a significant professional accomplishment with the certification of its Bachelor in Accountancy Program beginning May 2023 by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), validating the program’s conformity with globally recognized professional standards.
In conjunction with this accreditation, ACCA has sanctioned exemptions for certain professional courses subsequent to a comprehensive academic and quality assurance evaluation. The exemptions were conferred on various occasions, indicating the University’s ongoing collaboration with ACCA and its dedication to sustaining professional congruence.
Under the sanctioned exemption framework, qualifying students who successfully finish designated courses within the Bachelor in Accountancy Program may receive exemptions for essential ACCA modules, including Applied Knowledge Level (Business and Technology, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Corporate and Business Law), Financial Reporting, Audit and Assurance, Financial Management, and Performance Management, contingent upon cohort eligibility criteria.
The sanctioned ACCA exemption results are as follows: Audit and Assurance (AA), Financial Management (FM), Financial Reporting (FR), Performance Management (PM).
