Sohar University took part in the Third Higher Education Forum for school students in Dhofar Governorate, held from 15 to 16 April 2025. The event was inaugurated under the patronage of Dr. Maizoon bint Bakhit al Shahri, Director General of the Directorate General of Education in Dhofar, and witnessed the participation of a number of government and private higher education institutions, in collaboration with the Career Guidance Platform, at the Sultan Qaboos Cultural center.
The university’s participation came as part of its commitment to engaging directly with school students and introducing them to the various academic disciplines and programs it offers. The event specifically targeted students in grades 10 to 12, aiming to provide them with valuable insights into academic pathways, admission procedures, available scholarships, and academic support services.
Sohar University also took the opportunity to highlight its latest academic and research developments, showcasing its dynamic and evolving learning environment.
Through this participation, the university seeks to position itself as a preferred choice for students aspiring to pursue higher education in an institution that combines academic excellence with an inspiring and inclusive campus experience. This initiative aligns with Sohar University’s vision of empowering youth and equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in both local and international job markets.
