In a step towards enhancing international cooperation, Sohar University participated in the second edition of the ICEF Middle East Scholarships and Partnership Summit 2025, held in Muscat over two days. The university was represented by Ms. Abir Al Jabri, Manager of the Communication and Marketing Department, and Mr. Mustafa Al Lawati, Manager of Community Service and Partnerships.
During the participation of Sohar University in the Summit, the university seeking opportunities for collaboration with various educational institutions in different academic, research, and innovation fields were discussed, along with the exchange of expertise and knowledge. This participation aligns with the university’s strategic plan, which is based on institutional effectiveness and the university’s collaborative approach. Sohar University announced a 20% discount on fees for international students as part of its efforts to enhance cultural diversity at the university and attract international students.
On the sidelines of the forum, an interview was held with several academic and training institutions from various countries around the anticipated benefits of the forum and the importance of international cooperation at the academic and training levels for higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman with their regional and international counterparts.
The participation of Sohar University in the second edition of the ICEF Middle East Scholarships and Partnership Summit 2025 comes as part of its efforts to expand international cooperation and enhance its scientific standing at both the regional and international levels.
