As part of its ongoing efforts to promote scientific research and foster international global profile, Sohar University, in collaboration with the University of Queensland, Australia, is organizing a virtual joint scientific workshop titled: “Trustworthy Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models”, scheduled to take place on Monday, April 14, 2025, via video conferencing.
The workshop will be led by Professor Xue Li, one of Australia’s leading experts in big data and artificial intelligence, as ranked by The Financial Review. The session will also feature a group of distinguished experts from the University of Queensland, who will present advanced talks on the principles of trustworthy AI and the applications of Large Language Models (LLMs), along with insights into the latest research trends in this rapidly evolving field.
The event aims to raise awareness among researchers and students about modern AI technologies and highlight the importance of developing reliable and secure AI-based systems, particularly in areas such as education and other vital sectors. It also paves the way for strengthening research collaboration between Sohar University and leading global academic institutions.
