Sohar University organised the Staff Day Out for employees and their families for the year 2025, which took place on Saturday, February 15, at the Radisson Blue Hotel in Sohar. The Staff Day Out is part of the university’s commitment to strengthening the bonds between its employees and their families, in appreciation of their continuous efforts and contributions to achieving the university’s vision. The Staff Day Out targeted all university employees and their family members, in an atmosphere of interaction and fun, with the aim of enhancing social bonds and deepening the sense of belonging among the university’s members.
The events and activities that took place during the Staff Day Out were diverse, including sports activities such as football, volleyball, table tennis, motorcycle races, boat races, beach biking, and swimming. The program also included a variety of accompanying entertainment activities, such as water games, magic shows, face painting, horseback and camel riding, coloring, henna, the presence of cartoon characters, and jumping games, which added an atmosphere of joy and fun for the whole family.
The Staff Day Out aims to enhance a positive and motivating work environment by providing employees with the opportunity to enjoy time with their families and colleagues outside the workplace, which contributes to boosting morale and strengthening social relationships within the university community. Additionally, the Staff Day Out promotes effective interaction and communication among employees, which helps increase productivity and enhance institutional loyalty.
