As part of its strategic vision to enhance academic partnerships and broaden the multicultural student experience, Sohar University launched the 2025 Arab Cultural Exchange Program on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The program operates under the supervision of the Arab Council for Student Training and Innovation, with extensive student participation from several Arab countries.
The program aims to foster knowledge and cultural exchange among Arab university students, providing a rich educational and training environment that contributes to the development of their academic and professional skills. This aligns with the university’s commitment to educational excellence and youth empowerment.
This year, the university is hosting 17 female students from various Arab universities, including Palestine, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Iraqi Kurdistan, Malaysia and others. This reflecting the program’s diverse and international nature.
The program includes a comprehensive training course that combines practical training within the university and field training in private sector institutions. It also features developmental workshops focused on enhancing students’ personal and practical skills, field visits to leading industrial institutions, and an entertainment program designed to strengthen bonds of cooperation, cultural exchange, and social interaction among participants.
This program is a pioneering initiative that reflects Sohar University’s commitment to its strategic pillar of student experience, which focuses on empowerment, community integration, and developing students’ capabilities to be effective members of their societies at both local and regional levels.
