In the framework of the continuous cooperation between Sohar University and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, the university hosted the induction meeting for students dispatched under the internal scholarship and grant programme for the Academic Year 2025/2026. This was part of the annual series of awareness meetings implemented by the Ministry to familiarise newly admitted students with the study systems and scholarship requirements.
The meeting aims to enrich students’ knowledge of the academic, administrative, and financial systems and procedures associated with the scholarship and grant programme. It also provides them with information to help them begin their university journey with confidence and stability. The session also covered multiple areas related to students’ psychological and physical well-being, and the importance of positive adjustment to the new university learning environment.
Sohar University plays a vital role in supporting its students and providing a comprehensive educational environment. They affirm that these meetings contribute to enhancing students’ awareness of their rights and duties, and enabling them to achieve outstanding academic performance that keeps pace with the aspirations of Oman Vision 2040 in building a national generation qualified with knowledge and competence.
