The second day of the AI and Research Conferences, which commenced on Sunday, at Sohar University campus under the patronage of H.E. Professor Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, witnessed the launch of the 8th edition of the Sohar University Research Conference on Monday, February 10, 2025. The conference was held in both face to face and online.
The conference aims to enhance scientific research and provide a rich knowledge environment that supports both academics and students. It serves as a platform that brings together researchers and students to exchange ideas and research practices that contribute to knowledge development and innovation.
The conference featured 12 parallel sessions, during which 119 research papers were presented. These covered a diverse range of topics, including Emerging and Advanced Technology Focus on AI Applications and Innovations, as well as Enterprise and Industry, Environment, Connecting Communities, and the Postgraduate Track.
The 8th edition of the Sohar University Research Conference proved to be a significant academic platform for promoting research and innovation.
