Blue Harvest Project Partners Hold Meeting at Sohar University to Discuss Prospects for Agricultural Sustainability

Partners from the Blue Harvest research project—Sohar University, Wageningen University (WUR), The Open Mind company B.V. , The Netherlands, and Sohar Port and Free Zone—convened for a project review meeting at the Sohar University campus on 14.5.2025.

The SU research team, Faculty of Engineering, discussed the various tasks completed related to the growth of elephant grass, and the monitoring of the growth conditions in terms of soil properties. The tests are conducted in the Civil Engineering labs of Sohar University. The partners exchanged ideas on the best practices to be followed to adapt the plant to grow in Oman and this project is aligned with Oman 2040 vision and promotes circular economy in Oman.
