As part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing academic collaboration and exchanging knowledge with higher education institutions in both Arab and international contexts, Sohar University, in cooperation with the Arab Council for Training and Student Innovation, has dispatched a student delegation to participate in the 2025 Arab Student Exchange Program. The delegation visited Misr University for Science and Technology in the Arab Republic of Egypt, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin in Malaysia, and Erbil Polytechnic University in the Kurdistan Region of the Republic of Iraq.
Representing Sohar University in this initiative were 14 outstanding students from the Faculty of Business, the Faculty of Language Studies, and the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology. During their visits, the students engaged in a wide range of academic and cultural activities organized by the host universities. These included campus orientation tours, visits to academic facilities, and interactive sessions designed to foster cultural and skills exchange among students from different countries.
This program serves as an effective platform for developing students’ academic and personal skills by immersing them in new educational environments and exposing them to diverse academic experiences. Such engagement enriches their knowledge and enhances their readiness for both local and international labor markets.
Through continuous participation in initiatives like this, Sohar University affirms its strategic commitment to building strong international relations and empowering its students to become ambassadors of knowledge and cultural openness. This aligns with the goals of Oman Vision 2040, which seeks to prepare a generation capable of positively engaging with the dynamics of the modern world.
