Sohar University, in its vision and mission, focuses on "excellence, innovation, and community development through outstanding education, scientific research opportunities, and effective partnerships." This approach stems from the university's firm belief that scientific research is the cornerstone upon which the future of nations is built. Therefore, the university strives to provide an academic environment that stimulates creative thinking and sustainable research and encourages students to actively participate in advancing scientific knowledge and addressing societal challenges through innovative research.

The convening of the "Sixth Student Research Conference" represents an important academic and research turning point, as it comes as a direct response to the urgent need to discuss the integration of knowledge between the authenticity of the humanities and the methodology of the natural sciences, and their common role in serving sustainable development and the rapidly accelerating requirements of the digital age.

This conference is a vital academic platform that integrates the humanities and natural sciences to serve national interests. It offers students a unique opportunity to present their research to expert judging panels, giving them a competitive edge in a job market increasingly focused on interdisciplinary fields. The conference also directly contributes to achieving the aspirations of Oman Vision 2040 for sustainable economic innovation by providing applied research solutions.

• Knowledge Production: Encouraging university students to write original and rigorous scientific research papers under the supervision of their professors, and highlighting the importance of collaborative scientific research in serving the issues of sustainable development and innovation.
• Competency Building: Enabling students to acquire professional presentation skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage academic dialogue, skills essential for the academic and professional job market.
• Serving Sustainability: Utilizing research findings in the humanities and natural sciences to propose practical solutions that serve strategic plans and the aspirations of Oman Vision 2040.

1. Deadline for abstract submission: January 10, 2026.
2. Scientific Committee's response to abstracts: January 18, 2026.
3. Deadline for final paper submission: March 23, 2026.
4. Scientific Committee's notification of acceptance of final papers: March 30, 2026.

1. Expanding the scope of collaborative scientific research between students and professors across various universities in the Sultanate.
2. Providing opportunities for the publication of peer-reviewed research and participation in the conference.

1. Research papers are accepted in Arabic and English.
2. The research must be original and not previously presented at any conference or submitted for publication.
3. The research title must be related to one of the conference themes.
4. The researcher must be enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate program at a university in the Sultanate of Oman.
5. The Scientific Committee accepts both individual and collaborative research papers.
6. The application must include: the research title, the supervisor's name, the university name, and an abstract (150-300 words).

1. Font type and size: Simplified Arabic 14 for Arabic research papers.
2. Font type and size: Times New Roman 12 for English research papers.
3. Line spacing: 1.5.
4. The researcher must adhere to a sound scientific and methodological system for documenting the text and the bibliography.
5. The research paper should be between 3,000 and 6,000 words, considering the requirements of scientific research and its proper methodology.
6. The research paper must be accompanied by a list of sources and references arranged according to APA 7 or another format appropriate to the nature of the research.
7. Research papers should be submitted as a Word document (docx) and a PDF file.
8. The research paper must be free of grammatical and typographical errors.
