I should have access to a course but I can’t find it. What do I do?

If you do not see your courses listed, contact your teacher or course coordinator.

Why can't I access my Course as a student?

There are several possible reasons:

  • If you are self-enrolling in a course using an enrollment code, you may not have completed the registration process. Check your email for instructions from your instructor.
  • If your Course coordinator enrolled you in your course, the enrollment may not have been setup correctly. Please contact your instructor(s) for assistance.
  • Each course has a specific access date. Depending on this date, you may not yet be able to view the course.
  • Courses must be published before students can access them. If you cannot see your course, it may not have been published yet.
  • Access to concluded courses may be restricted by the institution.
  • Ensure your browser is up to date.

Which browsers does SULMS support?

Because it is built using web standards, SULMS runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, or any device with a modern browser.

Supported Browsers

  • Chrome 80 and 81
  • Firefox 74 and 75
  • Edge 80 and 81
  • Safari 12 and 13 (Macintosh only)

Always use the most recent version of your preferred browser. Your browser will notify you if an update is available.

JavaScript

JavaScript must be enabled to run SULMS.

Browser Plugins and Extensions

Some plugins or extensions may conflict with SULMS and affect functionality. If you experience problems, disable any extensions or plugins that interact directly with your browser.

For troubleshooting, try logging in with an incognito or private browsing window. If SULMS works there, the issue is likely related to your regular browser settings or extensions.

Known Browser Behaviors

Chrome and Firefox use HTML5 to display website content, promoting a faster, more secure browsing experience. HTML5 audio and video is currently not supported in Microsoft and Safari browsers, and audio and video must still be used via Flash.

For best performance in SULMS, course content has been designed to support HTML5. Any affected content in Microsoft and Safari browsers can still be accessed by manually allowing permission for flash content in the browser.

In browsers such as Safari, insecure content will never be displayed in the browser.

However, in Chrome and Firefox, you have the option to view insecure content. Please be aware of possible restrictions and view insecure content with caution.
