The Renewable Energy Research Unit and Sustainable Technologies is a leading center that aims to promote innovation and sustainability in the renewable energy and emerging technologies sector. Located in the heart of Sohar University in the Sultanate of Oman, the unit is committed to advanced research and development, building local capacities, and providing sustainable solutions to meet the growing energy needs in the region and the world.

- The team leader was classified as the top scientist in Oman by Research.com.
