Sohar University organized from 10 to 12 February the Staff Development Week for the second semester of the academic year 2018/2019. This event is run by Staff Training Department in the university and held at the beginning of each semester.
The Staff Development Week is one of the important programs which aim to improve the administrative and academic skills of the staff from all departments at Sohar University. The week is also one of the university's preparations for the start of a new semester.
The activities of the week began with an opening speech by Dr. Hamdan Al-Fazari, DVC for Resources at Sohar University, in the presence of the University's academic and administrative staff. He first thanked the staff for their contribution and efforts to develop the university's march. Then he pointed to the most important projects being carried out during the current period, whether related to the facilities and the development of the campus and its services or those related to academic aspects and various research projects. Al-Fazari also talked about the various challenges that the university may face during the current and coming period and how to deal with them and overcome any difficulties that may arise.
