Sohar University, represented by the Faculty of Law, organized a legal forum on "The Need for Justice between the Judiciary and Alternative Dispute Resolution" on March 28, at the university campus. The forum was held under the patronage of Dr. Hamdan Al-Fazari, Acting VC of the University, and in the presence of a number of officials and the administrative and academic bodies of the University. The event targeted university students, graduates and lawyers in the Sultanate.
The forum hosted Sheikh Dr. Yaqoub Al-Saidi - Head of the Labor Department of the Supreme Court of the Sultanate of Oman, who spoke about the judiciary and the independence of the judiciary. It also hosted Prof. Dr. Riyadh Fakhri - Director of the Research Laboratory, and Legal Adviser to His Excellency the Minister of Health in the Sultanate of Oman, who spoke about private justice “Alternative Dispute Resolution - Arbitration as a model”. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Ali Haykal from the Faculty of Law at Sohar University.
