Prof. Mamdouh Yousef Imran

Mamdouh Yousef Imran earned his Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Kent at Canterbury, England. Prior to joining Sohar University as Dean of the Faculty of Language Studies, Professor Imran held many academic posts at Tishreen University in Syria, including Head of the Department of English and Faculty Dean. Professor Imran was twice a visiting Fulbright scholar at the University of Vermont and the University of California, Riverside in the USA. Professor Imran has published extensively on British and American drama. Professor Imran is presently concentrating on translation into Arabic and has authored a number of publications.
