
Dr Hadi Kashiha is an Assistant Professor of Applied Linguistics at Sohar University in Oman, where he has served as the Program Coordinator of the BA in English Language and Literature since February 2022. He holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from University Putra Malaysia and he is a former postdoctoral researcher at Alzahra University in Iran. Dr Hadi’s research concentrates on Corpus and Applied Linguistics, especially in the areas of Discourse Analysis, Genre Analysis, EAP and Pragmatics. As of now, he has published several articles in high-stakes international journals, including contributions to Journal of Pragmatics, Australian Journal of Linguistics, European Journal of Applied Linguistics, Southern African Linguistics and Applied Language Studies, International Review of Pragmatics, and Discourse and Interaction, among a few other international journals.
