Dr. Amal Al Saadi is currently working as Faculty in the Chemical Engineering department at Sohar University. She received her doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University in Oman. Her work in the municipal wastewater treatment plant gave her a broad range of experience in the industrial sector. In addition to being an academician with a high level of motivation and an innovative spirit, she has an interest in environmental research, particularly nanofilteration, solid waste management and treatment, water and wastewater treatment. During the course of her career, she intends to build an independent research enterprise that is well known on a global scale, with a strong emphasis on a variety of interactions with other research teams coming from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds. She is an active Co-PI on a project proposal that was presented to Beah about Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Quantification and Characterization.
